Analysis of investments in robotics companies by The Robot Report revealed that investments in robotics companies in September of 2023 totaled $1.8 billion. The Robot Report breaks down these investments by country and types of investment type. This is more than double the $851 million investments in robotics companies in August.
MassRobotics, the largest independent nonprofit robotics innovation center, has unveiled its inaugural MassRobotics Accelerator program. The MassRobotics Accelerator is a 13-week program that will accept 10 robotics startups and provide them with $100,000 in non-dilutive funding, customized curriculum, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and industry connections. The program will culminate in a Demo Day at the Robotics Summit & Expo on May 2, 2024.
After over five months as the interim Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Robotics Network, Jennifer Apicella has officially been announced as the permanent Executive Director. Jennifer has been with the Pittsburgh Robotics Network since February of 2021 when she was hired as the Vice President of Partnerships and Programs. This announcement comes just in time for next week's Pittsburgh Robotics Discover Day on November 16th.
Promise Robotics, a company that uses AI and robotics to accelerate manufacturing times and eliminate uncertainties associated with home and building construction, has raised $15 million in Series A funding. Promise Robotics claims that its cloud-based AI system can help homebuilders save costs, increase speed, reduce GHG emissions, and create new jobs. They are planning to launch its solution to the North America market in 2025.
ASYLON Robotics, a company that provides automated robotic perimeter security solutions, has secured $12 million in funding from the Air Force’s STRATFI program. The company plans to use the funds to integrate its DroneCore system, which consists of air and ground robots, sensors, and AI software, to enhance the security of Air Force bases.
